The Graduate Internship Pathway provides faster nomination pathways for international student master and doctoral graduates through internships contributing to industry innovation in Manitoba. Graduates who complete an Accelerate or Elevate internship with Mitacs in Manitoba can apply to the MPNP immediately after graduation, whether or not they have a job offer.
How to apply?
Create a government of Manitoba account and submit an expression of interest. You will be ranked and placed in the qualified candidates’ pool for 12 months. Highest scoring qualified candidates with a connection to Manitoba will be sent Letters of Advice to Apply (LAA) to submit a full Manitoba PNP application. If your application was successful, you will be nominated and asked to submit a permanent residence visa application to IRCC’s Centralized Intake Office (CIO).
|Pass score||Unless you are currently working in MB, all Applicants are required to complete the MPNP Self-assessment Worksheet and get a minimum of 60 points out of 100 in the following factors: Language proficiency (25 points), Age (10 points), Work Experience (15 points), Education (25 points), Adaptability (25 points). Maximum total points (100).|
|Language||Minimum CLB/NCLC 7 (or equivalent).|
|Job Offer||You are not required to have a job offer at the time of application.|
|Education||Completed a master or doctoral degree program in Manitoba within the past 3 years. Completed a Mitacs Elevate or Accelerate (including Accelerate Entrepreneur) internship with an eligible industry and research enterprise in Manitoba.|
|Settlement Funds||You must demonstrate liquid funds equivalent to Low Income Cut-Off (LICO) requirements for independent financial resources for a six-month period. OR you must be employed in a full-time, long-term position in Manitoba.|
|Others||Adaptability: You must be residing in Manitoba at the time of application. Internship in Manitoba: Completed a Mitacs Elevate or Accelerate (including Accelerate Entrepreneur) internship with an eligible industry and research enterprise in Manitoba.|
