Effective September 10, 2018, appellants filing with the Refugee Appeal Division (RAD) no longer need to submit the notice of decision and the written reasons for a Refugee Protection Division (RPD) decision that is being appealed.
The RAD has removed this requirement in an effort to find efficiencies and eliminate duplication in the volume of paper that is filed in appeals.
Appellants are also reminded to not submit any document that was accepted as evidence at the RPD. The RPD provides the RAD with a copy of every document that was entered into evidence at the RPD.
