This program is for foreign skilled workers and recent international student graduates who have special skills that are needed in Nova Scotia.
How to apply? You need to create an online profile with NS immigration, apply to the NSNP skilled worker stream and receive a nomination certificate. If successful, you will need to apply for your permanent residence visa to IRCC within 6 months of receiving your nomination.
PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS | |
Language | If you are a skilled worker, you must have CLB/NCLC 5 in either English or French, CLB/NCLC proof is not required for native speakers. However, if you are a semi or low-skilled worker (NOC TEER 4OR 5), you must prove at least CLB/NCLC 4 in either English or French whether or not you are a native speaker. |
Experience | Must have a 1-year job offer related work experience within the last 5 years. If you are a semi and low-skilled worker (NOC TEER 4 OR 5), you should have worked with the same employer for at least 6 months before the application. |
Job Offer | Must have a permanent full-time job offer from a Nova Scotia employer. |
Education | Minimum of a high school diploma, and appropriate training, skills and/or job-related accreditations. |
Settlement Funds | Sufficient settlement fund to successfully settle in N.S. |
Others | Age: must be between 21 and 55 years. |
