This program is for foreign skilled workers with a job offer in in-demand occupations in specific sectors such as agriculture, construction, trucking or personal support work in Ontario.
How to apply? This stream works under an Expression of Interest System; you must register and express your interest in this program to get an invitation. To get started, you must create a profile in the OINP e-Filing Portal and register an expression of interest for the Employer Job offer: In-demand Skills stream. You will then receive an invitation to apply for a nomination. Once you receive the OINP nomination letter and certificate, you can then apply to IRCC for your permanent residence.
PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS: | |
Language | Must have CLB/NCLC 4 English or French language skills. |
Experience | Must have worked for at least 9 months in the last 3 years in Ontario in the same in-demand occupations as your job offer. Non-continuous work and self-employed work are also allowed. |
Job Offer | Must have a full-time and permanent job offer in NOC TEER 4 OR 5 in the eligible occupations. If the job offer is from GTA, the NOC should be one of the following: NOC 44101 – Home support workers, caregivers and related occupations NOC 65202 – Meat cutters and fishmongers – retail and wholesale NOC 75110 – Construction trades helpers and labourers NOC 84120 – Specialized livestock workers and farm machinery operators NOC 85100 – Livestock labourers NOC 85101 – Harvesting labourers NOC 85103 – Nursery and greenhouse labourers NOC 94141 – Industrial butchers and meat cutters, poultry preparers and related workers. If the job offer is from outside of GTA, the NOCs must be one of the following: NOC 94100 – Machine operators, mineral and metal processing NOC 94105 – Metalworking and forging machine operators NOC 94106 – Machining tool operators NOC 94107 – Machine operators of other metal products NOC 94110 – Chemical plant machine operators NOC 94111 – Plastics processing machine operators NOC 94124 – Woodworking machine operators NOC 94132 – Industrial sewing machine operators NOC 94140 – Process control and machine operators, food and beverage processing NOC 94201 – Electronics assemblers, fabricators, inspectors and testers NOC 94204 – Mechanical assemblers and inspectors NOC 94213 – Industrial painters, coaters and metal finishing process operators NOC 94219 – Other products assemblers, finishers and inspectors NOC 95102 – Labourers in chemical products processing and utilities |
Education | Valid license and other authorizations are a must if the offered job requires them. Must have a Canadian high school or above, or ECA if your education is from other countries. |
