This program is for current PEI workers. This is an employer-driven program, so they can fill their intermediate-skilled positions that are hard to fill.
How to apply?
Create a profile on the PEI Expression of Interest System, and if found eligible, you will be invited to submit a full application for provincial nomination. Your employer is also asked to complete the employer-related forms. Once nominated, you will need to send your PR application to IRCC along with your nomination certificate to obtain permanent residence.
PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS
Provincial Point System | Labour Points Grid for critical workers which include points for age (15 points), Language (20 points), Education (15 points), work experience (20 points), employment (15 points), and adaptability (15 points), total maximum points 100. |
Language | Minimum CLB/NCLC 4 in English or French. |
Experience | Minimum 2 years work experience OR relevant education in the past 5 years. Must have worked for at least 6 months for the PEI employer. For long-haul truck drivers (NOC 7511) you must have at least 12 months of truck-driving experience. |
Job Offer | Must have a full-time permanent or at least two years long job offer from a local employer in NOC C or D. Must have a valid work permit as well. |
Education | At least a secondary school diploma. |
Settlement Funds | Sufficient financial resources to travel and establish in PEI. |
Others | Age: between 18 and 59 years. |
